The Johns Hopkins Sustainability Initiative, launched in 2006 and led by Davis Bookhart, director of energy management and environmental stewardship, is all about developing and showcasing smart, creative, and sensible actions that make us better stewards of energy and reduce the university's negative environmental impacts. While the group is busy encouraging recycling, managing storm water runoff, and pushing for green building on campus, it's also serving as a resource for students interested in studying issues concerning the environment and sustainability.
